day one hundred two

since i started this project, i've been paying attention to other creative things people are doing with their own wardrobes. one of the most interesting concepts i've come across is this site: http://newdressaday.wordpress.com.

this girl is seriously talented. she is doing 365 days on a $365 budget and is making a new outfit each day out of secondhand items she finds for dead cheap. she trims, she hems, she reinvents, she dyes, she embellishes, she simplifies. she turns muumuus into cute dresses. she turns 80s dresses into great tops. she chops old things up that not many people would give a second look at and turns them into funky, wearable modern pieces.

i really need to learn how to sew.
